Here is a tutorial of how I made my custom weighted companion cubes. Feel free to make your own but please take pictures and show me your results!

Weighted companion cube and aperture science were created by Valve for their game Portal. ^_^

Well, they're hard to explain, but you know how most puzzle games give you crates to use to weigh down buttons? In Portal, it does too... but the twist is, this cube is your best friend. It's a weird way to make the player "feel bad" when you're forced to "kill" the cube... but the game is rather odd and quirky that way ^_^
