Bayonetta Gun Closeup by HoiHoiSan Bayonetta Gun Closeup by HoiHoiSan
Here's a second set of guns I did with more accurate charms, now with a closer view so people can see how I made the charms, hopefully?

For the charms, I used a silicone nonstick pad and a hotglue gun. I bent wire into the basic shapes, and laid down hot glue onto the pad into various other shapes. I let the hot glue cool, the glued them onto the wires.

For instance, the one on the right with all the bubbles, I glued little blobs of hotglue on the pad so they dried like little domes. I glued two of those together for the little sphere, then glued it to the wire.

The "comet" one was a little harder, I had to glue directly onto the wire and quickly dip the wire into a bowl of cold water to harden it before the glue dripped.

Hope that helps~

These are absolutely amazing! Do you still take commissions and if so, how much would you charge for all 4 guns?

I do take commissions for these, they take 2-4 weeks to finish.  The pricing depends on when you need them by, right now my commission slate is booked until the beginning of July.  I can start anytime in July.  If you're interested in pricing detail, drop me an e-mail message... merlekitty@gmail.com and I can discuss specifics.  A set of 4 would range anywhere from $300-$500 :)

I could try in a couple months, but I've put tutorials and examples of how to build your own in my gallery. You could probably get some ideas how to do it yourself, it's not terribly hard... just takes a lot of time. :)

How much do they each weigh?

:iconhoihoisan:

Well, according to the shipping label, all 4+box and packing were about 2 lb 10 oz. That makes each one less than 300 grams, or about 2/3 a lb.

The majority of the guns are made of sculpted foam and foamcore board. The barrels of the gun are PVC pipes. :) If I cast them out of solid resin, they'd probably be really heavy

They actually look like theyre mostly made of wood that you painted over, thats why I thought they'd be heavier. But great job :)
Do you do commissions? I've been looking for some light weight bayonetta guns so I can attach them to shoes for a bayonetta cosplay.

I do commissions, but right now I'm working on my own cosplay projects so I'm a bit busy. I have tutorials up if you're interested in trying yourself:

Along with some progress images:

If it can wait until June, I could work on them. This is the sixth time I've made them so I'm getting increasingly efficient at making them :) I've been charging more and more each time because I'm getting tired of making them. XD

That's actually kind of disappointing. I would hate to pay more for the same item some one else bought for a cheaper price simply because you were tired of making them :/ You have no set price for materials and commission?

Traditional economics. I've made tutorials, I've listed all the necessary supplies, I've shown progress photos and techniques... I've given everyone the power necessary to make them for themselves. If people still insist on asking me to make them and I don't want to anymore, the only option I have is to raise my price until people stop. A lot of the stuff I do is really cheap. The materials for the commission are less than 10 bucks, the expensive part is my time. I have a billion other projects so I have to charge a lot to make it worth my time. I'm getting older and time is the only resource I have no control of.

I'm afraid other than with a pencil on paper I have NO artistic skill to speak of. I'll gladly wait till June. Sorry you're getting tired of making them XD
Can I get an idea of how much it may cost to have you make all 4 guns?

Hot glue, wire, and gold chrome spray paint! :) I have a non-stick silicone pad that I drop hot glue onto for the round spheres, then I glue those onto wire. For the other shapes, I had a wire framework that I put hot glue on, then dipped into cold water to harden it. Does that help any?

Nice...*____*
I still wonder what paint you used to paint those gold-circles/lines on the guns surfaces? I used acrylic paint but it took forever to draw them nicely...orz Any tips on that?

I think if I have time in the future, I am gonna use your tutorial to make another set...XD

Oh, go to the guilding metal section of your hobby store, where they have gold leaf and stuff. They should have paint markers made by Kryolan... I just used one of those. I cut the tip of the felt part into a point so I could do the finer detail work. :)

I have a list of what I used in my progress pics and the tutorial I made... but basically, I used PVC pipe, foam core board, resin clay, and construction insulation foam with paint :)

The guns are... gun sized? About 11 inches across.
